Roissy/Charles de Gaulle airport

Orly
The second airport is Orly, situated south of Paris near a town called Orly. The airport consists of a terminal Orly South and Orly West. For information check:

By Bus:
Paris has a public transport network of 3.500 kilometres, the network is divided in the following zones:
1 to 2: Paris and immediate surroundings
3 to 5: Paris suburbs
6 to 8: Paris outer suburbs
Transportation in Paris is very easy, the public transport system is very well organized and easy to use. The bus system is also efficient and reliable and bus stops are usually within walking distance of metro stations which provide connections. Bus tickets can be bought by numerous ticket points all throughout the city. There are special tourist tickets available but for an international student as yourself it is probably wiser to buy a ticket which is valid for a moth or longer. Obviously this will save you a lot of money compared to a daily ticket.
By metro:
The metro has a similar story, it is very easy to use, in Paris there are 16 different lines who are active from 5.30 until 12.30. again tickets are available at every station and vary from 1 zone tickets to monthly or even longer tickets.
By Car:
Paris is very easily accessible by car, numerous highways lead in and out of Paris and it is only a matter of time before you are within centimetres of you destination. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that Paris is a very big and also a very busy town. Traffic can be a pandemonium and you need to know what your getting yourself into. Make sure you’ve got enough experience on the road before you get yourself into the traffic of Paris.
By train:
During your study or internship you’ll find there are two types of trains to use, the RER railway and the SNCF railway. The RER connects the trains with the metro system in the city while the SNCF links the suburbs and more far away other regions to the city.
